I was an authorized user on my girlfriends credit card account and now she has defaulted? Wil the creditor try to sue me?

The authorized user defense may apply if you were added to the credit card as an authorized user. There are three types of credit card users: primary credit card holder (primary applicant), joint account holder (co-applicant) and authorized user. If you never agreed to be responsible for the balance or payment of the credit card, then you're an authorized user and the creditor cannot hold you responsible for payments on the credit card.

There are typical two (2) types of credit card applications: individual credit card application and joint credit card application. If you and your girlfriend filled out the credit application jointly, then you can be liable for the balance on the credit card.
